I haven’t been updating much since A levels ended. So here’s what you missed:

30th Nov – LAST A LEVELS PAPERRRRRR! (for me, at least)

Paper ended at 3.15pm, so Audrey and I headed down to Strip, the waxing joint to get cleaned up HAHAHA. Went for monday pick up after that and met a bunch of CJC Ultimate people.

1st Dec – Prom Shopping with Audrey + Tanning at Sentosa

Nothing interesting; I brought a disc along and while tossing, I injured my toe badly. The nails have yet to grow back D:

3rd Dec – Went out with the 32nd for drinks @ Timbre.

Didn’t make reservations and the place was crowded So we headed to city hall area instead. Settled down at Durty Nelly’s and had this amazing frothy drink called Nutty Irishmen! Frangelico is some awesome stuffffffff.

8th Dec – Prom Night (no, I don’t intend to blog about it.)

Fairly boring night; didn’t have much fun until we headed for Clarke in the end hahah. Oh well. Prom with Jian & the gang was wayyyy more fun, for some strange reason.

9th Dec – MOVING DAY i.e. Daddy & Justin came down to grab my stuff while I slave over cleaning the room.

I had to scrub like there was no tomorrow just to get the toilet walls clean and the floor sparkling again. I have come to a fairly depressing conclusion that domestic labour is yet another thing I’m not good at – along with resolving conflicts and finding my things in the room. Anyway, after a long and tiring day of shifting and cleaning, I lodged my butt at Uncle Daniel’s, took and shower and headed out with the brother to find awesum food. (That’s what he came for anyway!) Brought him to Ion’s Cornery and we bought the Green Tea popcorn HAHA it was surprisingly good. Met up with Daddy, who treated us to Sushi Tei <3 YAY.

10th Dec – StafWan + ‘A Toast to Mel for getting evicted.’

Met up with Staf who has practically been touring the world; I was lucky enough to catch her right after she returned from Bangkok and right before she flew off to HK the next day. We sat at this place in Ion and just talked. It was good. You know how some friends you can talk to without wrecking your brains just to find a common topic? That’s how Staf and I are like. (: The ease of the conversation gets addictive & she’s such a sweetheart. Zip me in your suitcase so that I can travel the world with you too, woman! After catching up with Staf, I left for Shaf’s place for dinner with the frisbee people, courtesy of Nic’s planning (: I got so cranky on the train because it was moving too slowly for my liking and made stops at unexpected stations, making us clear out for reasons I could not understand. Anyhow, Keeks and Aaron cooked pastaaa! It was good fun. We attempted to stay up (Matt and I) to watch this Dwyane Johnson movie but passed out 20 mins into the movie, leaving Shaf and her brother awake alone. The part I loved most was sitting around, just chatting; yes shaf, I agree. It’s amazing how the game works its magic to bond us on and off fields. I love it too. (:

11th Dec – Psychometric + Goodbye Vibhuz + Spray Painting @ Audrey’s + Dinner at NUSS Guildhouse with Uncle Daniel & April

Woke up to waffles @ Shaf’s! YUMM. Had breakfast and took the train down to the NLB to sit for PSC’s psychometric test. (PS: Sleeping over the night before a test like that is NOT advisable) After the test, I headed down to Queensway Shopping centre to get sneakers & audrey’s bag before leaving for Changi Airport to hug Vibzy for the last time. Had lunch with Matt @ IKEA. WAS TEMPTED TO BUY SWEDISH MEATBALLS BUT I IZ NO MONEH LEFT. Spray painted at Audrey’s saying goodbye to Vibz – I swear I was so tired from all the traveling, it was crazy. Yuletide dinner was good though. Really liked the dessert – I think I tasted some liquer in it HAHA Yum.

12th Dec – Too tired to move anywhere; Beach Pickup

Too lazy to write anything that’ll interest anyone – those who are interested would’ve already been there to witness it themselves (:

to keep the report short, I didn’t really enjoy myself – i don’t quite know why. Seeing everyone else was good and well, but it just wasn’t satisfactory. I think I may have come to point where my life is so screwed up that I don’t know what would please me. And it all happened in one week. Wonderful.

I’m really hoping to be able to finish my Lit paper come Tuesday; I’ve never actually been able to due to my inability to discipline myself to write faster & analyse faster. IF THERE IS ONE TIME I FINISH THREE ESSAYS IN THREE GODSPANKIN HOURS, LET IT BE THIS TUESDAY (:

@home, I’m coming to you soon. (30 days and counting; how do i feel about it? I don’t know. Ask me when this catastrophe is over. But one thing’s for sure, I’m strangely looking forward to bumming around with my brother over inane TV series. What say you, Dizie!)

@bigbangtheory, I’m such a geek for admitting this, but it is AWESUMZ. They’ve been my escapes from reality. (sometimes, a little too much.)

@KIfolks; you guys have been such an awesome bunch. I really do miss our little community of 12 – the few who stuck around long enough to endure the IS hell together, the ones who we rant to on MSN about the banal existence of our lives whilst trying to fulfil Cambridge criteria of a ‘KI angle’. Thank you. Looking in retrospect, nothing could’ve compared to this experience. (no matter how torturous/arduous it seemed when we were in it.)

@happiness; i’ve been laughing a lot more nowadays. I walk to ECP starbucks on a daily basis to meet friends to study with. And during my 3k walk, I listen to songs by John Mayer, Joshua Radin, Rachel Yamagata and the likes – and I smile to myself. That has not happened for a very, very long time. I’m glad it’s happening again.

Was flipping through my Othello notes and saw a post-it with this stanza on it. I think Ms. N mentioned it during our Role of Women lecture during the holidays. The full poem’s really sad and filled with celestial imagery though. (stars, in particular, to illustrate the unbridgeable gap between the poet and his lover. Love the rhyme scheme too; makes it sound really structured and regular, there’s like this desperation to break out from it’s consistent form but it fails to in the end – conveys the poet’s unrequited love and its routine disappointment. poor child.) SORRY OVERDOSE OF LIT PC.

5) Pretend you are a flight attendant and review emergency procedures and exits with the passengers.

6) Ask, “did you feel that?”

7) Stand really close to someone, sniffing them occasionally.

When the doors close, announce to the others, “It’s okay, don’t panic. They’ll open up again.”

9) Swat at flies that don’t exist.

10) Tell people that you can see their aura.

11) Call out, “GROUP HUG!” and enforce it.
